You Must Have A Montana Fishing License In Order To Fish.

This includes the license and an Invasive and Aquatic Species Permit and Conservation License (these will be prompts at the time of purchase). Licenses can be obtained at: www.fwp.mt.gov, any of the local fly shops and at Shedhorn Sports.

Licenses are a state requirement that are not provided by the outfitter, but we can help you obtain one before your trip.

What To Expect

GEAR: Guides will provide flies, fishing rods, and other gear. PLEASE feel free bring your own equipment if you have it (you might be more comfortable with it and therefore catch more fish).

CLOTHING: We will be in a boat but your feet will get wet no matter what the weather. Wear clothing that you are comfortable in but remember that sometimes it snows in August. Recommended items are: waders or river shoes, rain jacket, hat and polarized sunglasses. There is plenty enough room in the boat for you to bring an extra layer or two.

We provide lunch (usually a sandwich, fruit, chips, salad/potato salad) snacks, water, and soda. If you have any DIETARY RESTRICTIONS, please, please let us know prior to the night before. We want to provide you an excellent lunch that you want to eat but grocery shopping in Ennis does create some challenges. You can also bring your own food to add to the cooler.

You are allowed to consume alcohol in the boat it is not provided by the guide. GLASS IS PROHIBITED ON ALL MONTANA RIVERS. (flasks or cans only please).

We will contact you the night before to arrange your pick up location.
